It can even return to its dock to replenish its battery mid-clean.
It is very fast and does an excellent job of cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It cleans the carpeted areas extremely quickly, and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and hallways in a single sweep. Its motor of 8,000pa is able to pick up dirt, pet hair, and even droppings easily. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it encounters rugs and the dual side brushes help draw out debris from corners.
The mopping efficiency, while still impressive, isn't as good. The rotating mop spins at a high rate and it pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, easily cleaning up dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arms extend out a bit more than other robots, which is helpful to maneuver around tight corners and on baseboards. The front arms can be used to clean up larger debris, like broken toys and fallen books.
Another great feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mops I've tried. It doesn't create the same amount of noise while vacuuming or mopping and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it has to use a proprietary mopping solution and is sold separately. It is easy to install, and it works well. However, if you are buying this vacuum solely for mopping purposes it is important to pay attention to this.

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive of our review. However, it does have some unique features which make it worth looking into. The X1 Omni's most appealing feature is its massive dock which doubles as the robot's charging base as well as housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a clean sink as well as the 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically empties.
The base also has a number of buttons to control the system. These allow you to start a cleaning task, recall the robot, or start the dock's auto-emptying process. Press two of the buttons to toggle a child lock which is a great touch for parents worried about their children playing with the vacuum.
The X1 Omni, like other robotic vacuums, uses its camera to detect obstacles and furniture that are in its path. It will avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system maps your home 10 times faster than conventional laser detection systems and is four times more precise in recognizing objects.
Unfortunately this means that the X1 Omni could occasionally get caught up in an obstruction, such as the power cord that is draped across a rug, that it gets stuck and stops working until you manually free it. Although this is not a common occurrence, it was a frustrating experience when it did happen, especially since the X1 Omni doesn't have a "stuck" status alert in its app.
The X1 Omni is unable to automatically switch from mopping to vacuuming mode during a cleaning session. You'll have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad, except that the mopping pad doesn't get cleaned or dried between uses. This can cause mildew and mold.
On the positive side the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who dreamed up its modern, sleek base and mopping pad. It's a major contrast to the utilitarian, all-black bases that are used by rivals like Roborock and iRobot and is a refreshing view in a market that is dominated by bulky boxes and clunky models.
